John Sherman

John was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1976 and is also admitted to the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. He works with individuals and families as a general practitioner working on commercial and banking matters; wind farm leases; real estate matters, purchases and sales; wills; trusts; probate and probate avoidance; as well as many other matters. John provides legal advice to banks, schools and businesses, and litigates various matters on behalf of both individual and business clients. Recently John has been involved in negotiating many wind farm leases on behalf of landowners.

PERSONAL

  • John and his wife, Judy, were married in 1976 in Wilson, Kansas. Judy is a graduate of Fort Hays State University where she played basketball and softball. Judy works at Ellsworth High School as the Activities Secretary and high school aide. John and Judy have one child, Brad, who practices law in Colorado Springs.

Gregory R. Hoffman, Ellsworth ks attorney


 

Gregory R. Hoffman

Greg was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1984, and is also admitted to the U.S. Tax Court and holds a masters degree in tax law. His practice is focused on tax, elder law, estate and business planning. In addition, he has extensive experience in real estate transactions and title issues. He works to improve his knowledge and expertise in these areas by attending legal education seminars on local, state, and national levels.

  • Greg and his wife, Nancy, were married in 1980 in Goodland, Kansas. Nancy is a graduate of Kansas State University (1981) and is a registered nurse. They have three childeren: Patrick, who practices with Greg at Sherman, Hoffman & Hipp LC; Samantha, a claims adjustor with Farmers Insurance in Olathe; and Timothy, a student at K-State majoring in chemical engineering.

Carey Hipp, Ellsworth ks attorney


 

Carey Hipp

Carey was born in Long Beach, California, October 17, 1972. Carey was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1999 and is also admitted to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Carey works with individuals primarily in need of assistance with domestic and family related issues. She also handles matters such as litigation, municipal law, Medicaid eligibility, probate, and real estate. Carey handles domestic mediation and advocates for children as a Guardian Ad Litem.

Carey is married with three children. Her interests include sports and spending time with her family.

Patrick G. Hoffman, Ellsworth ks attorney


Patrick G. Hoffman

Patrick was born in Manhattan, Kansas on February 9, 1982. He grew up in Ellsworth and is a graduate of Ellsworth High School. Patrick attended Texas Tech for both his undergraduate and law degrees. Patrick’s undergraduate degree is in Personal Financial Planning. Following graduation from law school, he returned to Ellsworth to practice law where he often works on wind farm leases. He was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 2007. Patrick enjoys working with people and solving problems.
